Men's Ministries

Joshua League

The Joshua League is Memorial Park Church's Men's Ministries group. We welcome and encourage men of all ages to connect with one another and Christ. We seek to become God-honoring men, not just in church, but in our homes, workplace, and community. We offer a wide range of activities designed to bring men together, from classes and bible studies, sports outings and a softball league, to prayer groups and monthly breakfasts.

For general questions about the Group Teaching Division, Men's LIFE Groups, or Men's Prayer Team, contact Corky Semler.

For general questions about the Training Camp Division, Interest Group Division, or Men in Action, contact Dave Daniel.
Jesus trained disciples in two environments: a small group of 12 and larger groups that were open to any one. We have both small and large group classes available. They are a great place to learn, get connected, and develop friendships here at Memorial Park. For more information or to get involved, contact Kevin Steele or Rick Corliss.

Thursday Group | 6:30 AM
Like the Wednesday group, the Thursday group is ideal for the man who is heading to work. Men who have flexibility to start work later or are retired will often meet for breakfast at a local restaurant after the meeting. Contact Pete Pugliese to learn more about the current study.

Friday Morning Men’s Breakfast | Fridays at 7:30 AM | Westminster Hall
These ‘senior’ men meet every Friday morning in Fellowship Hall for a continental breakfast and Bible study (the study/lecture begins at 8:00). The discussion is facilitated by a teaching team of pastors and laymen and usually pertains to a timely topic. This group meets occasionally in the summer. Contact Tom Anewalt for assistance.

Men's Classes
The League supplies studies and teachers for the Men's Class units that are offered during the school year. Sunday classes are held from 9:15-10:15 AM. Wednesday classes are held from 7 -8 PM. Check out the current Adult Class offerings on the Adult Classes Page.

Saturday Morning Men | Select Saturdays | 8:00 AM | Westminster Hall
Our Saturday Morning Breakfasts are scheduled 8 times throughout the year, and include a full breakfast, fellowship, hymns, and a guest speaker. Men of all ages are welcome to join us. Contact Robb Lusk or Dana Brown.
Teams are the closest thing to Jesus' way of making disciples. Teams consist of two Coaches and up to 10 Teammates. Teams meet regularly and "do life together" as they:
  • study the Bible together;
  • pray for one another;
  • offer mutual encouragement;
  • do an occassional service project together;
  • care for teammates and their households when members are in the hospital or grieving a loss;
  • eat together occasionally with spouses or guests;
  • encourage the children of fellow teammates;
  • enjoy occasional fun outings like a movie night or a sporting event;
  • and more!
Our LIFE Group division has a number of small groups that meet throughout the week. For more information, or to get involved in our Men's LIFE Groups, contact Bill Walsh or Geoff Holmes.

1-2-3 Wednesdays | 6:30 AM | Clayton Center
This group meets on the first three Wednesdays of the month and is ideal for the man who is heading to work or is an early riser! Contact Pastor Kevin or Geoff Holmes to learn more about the current study.

The activity in this division is our monthly Saturday morning breakfasts from 8:00-10:00 a.m. in Westminster Hall. These are scheduled 8 times throughout year from September through November, and January through May. These include a full breakfast, fellowship, hymns, and a guest speaker. Men of all ages are welcome to join us. For more information, contact Robb Lusk or Dana Brown.

Men’s Interest Groups are a place to spend time with like-minded individuals who share your same interests. Interest groups can be developed at any time. If you have a particular interest and would like to start a group with like-minded individuals, please contact John Briggs and Patrick Ward.

Our current groups include:
Movie & Discussion Group
Quarterly Events Group
The function of this group is to help complete handy-man projects for people in need. To join the group or request help, contact Jeff McManus and Scott Kurtz.
The Men's Prayer Team is designed to pray for the needs in the church. While we do not meet each week, prayer requests are distributed regularly. To join the team or submit a prayer request, contact David Broms.
