Prayer

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people.”  ~1 Timothy 2:1

We hold the call to pray as one of our duties and honors as the body of Christ.
There are different avenues to request prayer. There is the option to have your prayer request sent far and wide within the MPC family as well as through more confidential means.

Prayer Warriors

Broad reaching prayer chain that a large number of our members are a part of.  It is asked that if you are making a prayer request on behalf of someone else, that you would get their permission to share the request prior to submitting it if it is sharing sensitive and personal information.

Intercessory Prayer

Small group of members that meet bi-weekly to pray over the church and specific prayer requests.  There is an additional level of confidentiality required of those that are a part of this team as these are not shared beyond this group unless given explicit permission by the person named in the prayer to do so.

Men in Prayer

Group of men in our church have committed to pray over prayer requests that they receive through the prayer warriors above.  We also understand that men and women might have unique prayer needs.  For that reason, they also pray over the prayer requests shared with them during their monthly men’s breakfast.

Women's Ministry prayer

The women of our church are committed to pray for one another and do life together.  The prayer requests that are shared during women’s ministry events are kept within the circles they are intended for .

Elder led prayer service

As the spiritual leaders of our church they welcome your prayer requests at anytime however they lead a prayer service three times a year in which you can recenter yourself on prayer and pray with an elder 1:1 and also in small group time if you wish.  As new dates for these services become available, they will be listed here.

Prayer shawl ministry

The skill of knitting or crocheting is God-given even as it is learned.  A group of women (men welcome too) meet bi-weekly to do various crafts.  The women that knit or crochet these shawls or blankets are praying over the person that would receive them in their time of need.  If you are interested in receiving one of these when facing an illness or struggle, or making one of these for this purpose click on the button below.

If you would like to have your prayer kept more confidential those can be submitted here:
